I discovered this artist when I was at Sunday school. My family and I all attend the same class Sunday morning with a bunch of other adults (my sister and I are the only "youth"). A gentleman came up to me and started telling me about his daughter's, Paige's, music. I listened to it and I was hooked!
Paige Armstrong is a 19 year-old cancer survivor with a heart for America's youth. Her rock-with-a-message music is great and one of my new favorites!
Visit her Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter pages, and here is her testimony...
And here is some of her music (live)...
And if you like better sound (like I do)...
Status:
Hello, my name is Christine Ericson. This blog is so I might add my voice to the thousands of Christians who wish to speak out on their beliefs. I want to encourage those out there who, "have not bowed their knee to Baal," and to remind everyone that God's ultimate Will will be done.

A Young Maiden's Day Book
Hee! I love surveys! I found this one on a blog I follow...
Today…March 28th (Palm Sunday!!!)
Outside my window…it is storming!
I am thinking…about making a special "Palm Sunday" breakfast for my family for before church.
I am thankful for...What can I NOT be thankful for? Family, friends, books, a home, food, green growing things, flowers, the smell of wet earth (I could go on...)
I am wearing…PJs -- a tank-top under a HUGE sweatshirt dress and black pajama pants with pink stripes at the knees.
I am reading…7 Men Who Ruled the World From the Grave by Dave Breece
I am creating…a Spanish dress for my sister's birthday and my prom dress.
One of my favorite things…tending my herb plants
For education this week…studying some late Victorian poetry and I hope some Jules Verne!
A keeper at home skill I am using/learning …a little bit of herbology, but mostly "How to clean a house."
A spiritual lesson I’m learning…The proper way (as in the correct way) to pray the Lord's Prayer.
A godly character trait I plan to work on…Self-control (does "Controlling my thought life" count?)
Scripture I am memorizing…I should be working on the 31 Proverb of an Excellent Woman but... :P
I am praying for…a couple friends, my family, and of course my future husband.
For the rest of the week…School, I hope, I've been somewhat lagging of late... really lagging XD
A picture I’d like to share… I found this picture one day while browsing for (you'll never guess) MORE PICTURES! I loved it because it made Bible characters look actually heroic -- like people you want to think are cool!
From the top, clockwise, it's Esther, David, Joseph, Joshua and Sampson. (Click to enlarge)

For YOU only
I was introduced to these books sometime ago by my Mom while I was doing a study on guys. The writer, Shaunti Feldhahn, goes on a journey to discover what makes men tick. (You men think that we girls are crazy? We think the same about you XD!) The book "For Women Only" goes through hundreds of national scientific surveys and polls and even more interviews from guys themselves about how they think.
In the sequal "For Men Only," Shaunti teams up with her husband Jeff to explain to men how women think. Once again, through national scientific surveys and interviews, this book explains the thought process of girls.
Everyone on the planet should read these books! They will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!
(If you'd like to check out her website visit Shaunti here!)

Flower
I woke up this morning
And out my window gazed
To see the beauty of the day
To bask in sunshine rays.
A single flower blooming
Amidst a world of stone.
I wondered who put it there
Where it must live alone.
Never did I see
Such a pretty blossom.
Showing how God's creation
Truly is great and awesome.
I thought for just a moment
To see if I could know
How this flower was placed,
How this flower was sown.
And out my window gazed
To see the beauty of the day
To bask in sunshine rays.
A single flower blooming
Amidst a world of stone.
I wondered who put it there
Where it must live alone.
Never did I see
Such a pretty blossom.
Showing how God's creation
Truly is great and awesome.
I thought for just a moment
To see if I could know
How this flower was placed,
How this flower was sown.
Should there be no others?
No accompaniment?
No orchestra?
No friends in the end?
Why in the hall of stones
Should this flower grow?
Because here all may see,
Because here all many know.
Amidst the rocks a rubble
This flower stands alone
As a beacon, as a testament
To our God, the One.
It would not be noticed,
It's truth, just might be smothered
If it grew in a patch
Surrounded by many others.
No accompaniment?
No orchestra?
No friends in the end?
Why in the hall of stones
Should this flower grow?
Because here all may see,
Because here all many know.
Amidst the rocks a rubble
This flower stands alone
As a beacon, as a testament
To our God, the One.
It would not be noticed,
It's truth, just might be smothered
If it grew in a patch
Surrounded by many others.
