An Epiphony!

What is purity? Everyone talks about it. Youth ministries obsess over it. But come on! Do we really even know what truly being "pure" is?

The first thing that we need to bring to mind, is that there are two parts of purity that are EQUALLY important: Physical and Emotional. Everyone talks about physical purity, but we seem to have forgotten about emotional purity.

NEWS FLASH: Guys and Girls are different! Bet you never saw that one coming. Girls are emotionally wired; Guys are physically wired. I am about to introduce a new thought... They are equally important. A girl getting emotionally attached to a guy is JUST AS WRONG as a guy having sex with a girl.








How in the world do I come to this conclusion? When a girl is emotionally attached to a guy, the whole world could be collapsing around her, but as long as she feels loved by that guy, she will not care -- they are joined in an extremely binding way. When a guy has sex with a girl, again, they are joined in nigh, unbreakable bonds! With all of our hacking on the young men of this society on remaining physically pure for their wives, we have forgotten to teach our ladies about emotional purity!

Remember our News Flash: Guys and Girls are different.
To our Men: When you tell a girl, "I love you," it means every bit as much, and gives just as big a thrill, as when she kisses you.
To our Ladies: When you give a guy an extra big hug, it means just as much as when he calls you, "Beautiful."

I propose that Emotional and Physical purity are interchangeably important. And once you learn to think in these terms, understanding the opposite gender becomes much easier...
