Hope

What is it that makes Christianity so different from all the other religions? What is it what makes Christianity a religion that true believers cannot turn away from?

1. Because it's true. I know this seems like a petty argument, but no person in the history of the Earth has ever died for what they knew to be a lie. Plus, if it is true, it is impossible to prove it wrong!
2. Christianity basically tells the human race, "You are evil people, worthy of eternal damnation, without hope of ever being able to save yourselves." No other religion puts an immovable death sentence on humanity; all other religions say that you must earn your way to paradise, your good deeds must "outweigh" your bad deeds.
3. Christianity is the only religion that gives mercy and grace through a perfect sacrifice. This perfect gift through Jesus Christ is the only thing that can save us, for it is surely impossible for us to save ourselves. His unblemished sacrifice gave us mercy from our failures and grace that we may be princes and princesses in His kingdom.
   

Why do so few believe in this miracle? Humans are selfish and proud. To accept this belief would mean they have to relinquish their power over their lives and submit to this awesome God. Humans would have to admit that, "I can't do it. I'm a failure in trying to save myself." What I've always found humerus is even if you don't believe there is a God, that doesn't account for squat! Just because I don't believe in air doesn't mean that I'm going to keel over and die for lack of it. So it is with God. You cannot wish Him away; you cannot prevent His actions; you cannot even stop His involvement in your life.

This God is a God who loves you. This is a God who decided that giving you the opportunity to dwell with Him was worth the price of His live. The gift of Jesus Christ covers all sins and it is for anyone who will accept it. Anyone who knows that striving for perfection will always end in failure, understands that unless we are given mercy, we will perish.

God gave humanity freewill. The choice to do what's right, what wrong, to love God, or reject Him. God will never take away your freewill in the decision to accept His gift of life. The choice is in your hands. What will you choose?
