Journaling or keeping a prayer diary is an interesting way for a Christan to keep track of what the Lord is doing in his life. As humans we are very forgetful. By keeping a journal we can have a tangible record of our prayers. So often I've gone over my old written prayers and have found that a certain prayer had been answered very specifically or if I hadn't been praying for a certain person they might not be where they are. Biblically we can look at, personally my favorite prophet, Daniel. He was fasting and praying for his people for 3 weeks when The Angel of the Lord cam to him. The Angel said that He had been fighting the Prince of Persia for 3 weeks. One must wonder what would have happened if Daniel had stopped on day 20 or 19. Would the angel have gotten through? (Daniel 10)
It's really simple to keep a prayer journal. All you have to do is get a cheap notebook from the dollar store and a pen. For those who are writers (like me) perhaps you'd like to go "high end" and get a leather backed journal and a vintage quill to have all the fun you can while writing... Whenever you pray, grab your journal and write it down with the date. Later you can look back and see how the Lord used you or provided for you. It truly is amazing to see how the Lord works.
Write down your friends' or family's prayer requests, write down things you're thankful for, or write about what happened in your day. Save your journal so that one day you can give it your children. They will most certainly enjoy reading about what you went through when you were their age...
Thus, I encourage everyone, record your life. Record your prayers because it is truly beyond amazing to watch God work. It doesn't have to be regular or consistent. Just whenever you think of it, write down your prayers. Make lists of your dreams and goals, and watch them change and be fulfilled over the years...

Hello, my name is Christine Ericson. This blog is so I might add my voice to the thousands of Christians who wish to speak out on their beliefs. I want to encourage those out there who, "have not bowed their knee to Baal," and to remind everyone that God's ultimate Will will be done.
