Hello, my name is Christine Ericson. This blog is so I might add my voice to the thousands of Christians who wish to speak out on their beliefs. I want to encourage those out there who, "have not bowed their knee to Baal," and to remind everyone that God's ultimate Will will be done.

Some Bible!

So, for those of us who are not walking Biblical texts ,I thought you might like to look at some verses. I got a request for verses on emotional purity. If anyone has good verses PLEASE post them in the comments below!

You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find verses on "EP". I'm sure there are a bunch, but I just don't know the right words to find them... I asked several girls and here is what we came up with:

1 Corinthians 7:32-34
"But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and {his interests} are divided. The woman who is unmarried, and the virgin, is concerned about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and spirit; but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how she may please her husband."

I'd say this applies to your first needs. While you are unmarried, if God suddenly calls you to the heart of Africa for 3 months you can get up and go. You have no ties that need to be taken care of (i.e. how you are going to feed your family).

Proverbs 4:23
"Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it {flow} the springs of life."

This one's easy. "From your thoughts spring your emotions, your emotions trigger your desires, from your desires come your actions." -King Victorious Watch over your heart because it bears great (though, not complete) influence over you.

Jeremiah 17:9
"The heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick; Who can understand it?"

This is one of my favorites (how many times have you heard "follow your heart"?) Once again, beware of your heart and your feelings. They are fickle and subject to dramatic change. Never trust them.
